AiFans offers two distinct types of subscription plans to help creators monetize their content: Default Subscriptions and Standalone Subscriptions. Each plan type serves different creator needs and provides unique management flexibilities.

Subscription Duration & Billing

All subscriptions on AiFans run on a 30-day billing cycle starting from the exact moment a fan completes their purchase. Subscriptions do not follow a calendar-month schedule; instead, access remains active for 30 consecutive days from the payment timestamp.

Default vs. Standalone Subscriptions

Understanding the difference between plan types helps you structure your membership tier effectively:

  • Default Plans (Tier-Based Membership):
    • Designed for ongoing creator support and low maintenance.
    • Allows you to set up multiple membership tiers with different pricing and perks.
    • Fans can only subscribe to ONE default plan at a time per creator.
    • Supports seamless upgrading or downgrading between tiers.
    • A default plan can be converted into a standalone plan at any time.
  • Standalone Plans (Project-Based Membership):
    • Designed for specific, ongoing projects or individual content series that you want to keep separate from main membership tiers.
    • Fans can subscribe to MULTIPLE standalone plans simultaneously.
    • Offers flexibility between monthly recurring subscriptions or permanent one-time access payments.
    • Standalone plans cannot be upgraded or downgraded.
    • A standalone plan CANNOT be converted into a default plan once created.

Managing Your Subscription Plans

To protect subscriber access and maintain transparent billing, strict rules apply when editing or removing subscription plans:

  • Deleting a Plan: You cannot delete any subscription plan that currently has active subscribers. Deletion is only permitted if the plan has zero active members.
  • Hiding a Plan: If you want to discontinue a subscription without disrupting current supporters, you can hide the plan instead.
    • Hiding a plan removes it from public view on your profile and stops new fans from subscribing.
    • Existing active subscribers will not be affected. They will retain full access to their tier benefits and continue their 30-day billing cycle until they choose to cancel.
Note: If you modify the price of an active subscription tier, the updated price will only apply to new subscribers. Existing active subscribers will continue at their original locked-in rate unless they resubscribe.
